Transportation Driver
General Summary of Job Duties:
Norton Lilly Internationals Transportation Division, MACS Transportation, is seeking to hire professional van drivers for a variety of shifts.
Shifts include but are not limited to:
late nights, early mornings, and weekend shifts.
Must be at least 21 year old, have an exceptional motor vehicle driving record (MVR), excellent communication skills, work well with others and be very flexible as tasks are constantly changing throughout each shift.
Safety, reliability and communication are the keys to the success of this position.
Drivers also must have or be able to qualify for a TWIC card.
The Transportation Driver is responsible for transportation of crews and captains along with miscellaneous transportation tasks.
Duties including but not limited to driving, coordinating and communicating transport routes, occasional office activities and other related services for the company as needed.
Specific Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for providing safe, courteous transportation services for vessel crews and captains Picking-up / Dropping-off passengers / luggage in a variety of locations within the dispatched areas; Ports, Airports, Hotels, etc.
Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trips.
Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions.
Must be able to be on call to provide transport services.
Abide by all federal, state, and local laws, including all transport rules, guidelines, and safety regulations.
Ensure all transport vehicles are in a safe working condition at all times.
Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
Maintain fuel level of vehicle.
Perform other related duties as designated by management.
Qualifications Required High School Diploma/GED required.
Previous passenger driving experience highly preferred.
Previous experience in the marine agency field helpful but not required.
Previous verifiable experience handling duties in the transport business.
Must have a valid Drivers License.
Valid Drivers license with acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR).
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to work daily, on call as needed, including some weekends.
Available for after hours, on-call basis as scheduled.
Must be able to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
Background checks will be provided by employer Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Proven problem solving skills.
First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

The Transportation Driver will spend a significant amount of time driving.
This includes being able to sit comfortably for extended periods of time both during a trip and on standby awaiting passengers.
Additionally, there will be some bending/stooping, lifting, walking, standing, and carrying of transport items such as luggage, clothing, boxes, and personal effects of the passengers up to 50 pounds.
On-hire times can vary greatly and are dependent on a number of external factors including the arrival and departure of vessels, airplanes, and ferries, therefore the manager will need to be able to maintain a flexible schedule in order to accommodate passenger needs and demand.
This can include early morning and late evening requirements.
